The other strat issue is that any party members outside the range of the AE (100' I believe) will not participate in the insta-kill lottery, which is both good and bad considering one of those in range is picked to die. The healer at least should be positioned far away.

The intent for this mob seems to be that he will randomly insta-kill one party member, merc or pet when he gets a lucky twincast proc. The twincast proc only happened 3 out 14 total procs in a two fight sample for me. The strategy would be to put out extra pets, since they can eat the twincast, as my warrior agro projection pet did in one case.

This mob's AE is pretty brutal at times, and doesn't match the spell effect listed. Below is extract from my logs, as you can see at time he double hit for ~150k each, insta-killing group members/mercs alike. Other times it hit for far less.
